Chiesta da shirohibiki shirohibiki

Okay, I saw someone ask about Origins DLC, so I figured I should ask about DA2 DLC. I don't have any of it, but money is getting tight. Should I get Legacy, or Mark of the Assassin? And/or the Black Emporium? I just can't decide because I don't know which of the first two is better -- and how long they are, exactly.

Maker, sorry if I’m late, but, like always, I’ve a lot of PM XD
Well well well.

At the Moment we have 3 DLC for DA2.

  •     The Exiled Prince
  •     Legacy
  •     Mark of the Assassin

The Exiled Prince [2+ HOURS OF GAME]

Is a “Must have”. Here you can find “Sebastian”. A new companion, a new quest for the revenge of his family.
I think that, even if i don’t personally love Sebastian, this quest is good and funny. A little bit…short, but not bad.
And Sebastian is an Archer, a good companion and a….very particular Romance option.

Legacy [ 3 HOURS of game.]

Well, personally, is my favourite at the moment. The story is totally in another place (obviously not kirkwall).
Here You’ll discover the truth about the Hawke’s family, train your brain with some puzzles and mistery, and meet a REALLY, really interesting character.
I suggest to play, and buy Legacy for a lot of reasons:

  •    If you have played DA: Awakening.
(Here you will find a character that has appeared in that DLC)
  •     If you are interested in Anders’ story.
(If you take Anders with you there will be extra dialogues that you can have with him, really interesting for the story)

Mark of the Assassin [3+ HOURS OF GAME]

This is the last DLC released by bioware.
Like Legacy, is in another place, exactly in an Orlesian estate.
Here you’ll find Tallis, a female assassin.
She have a Mission for a Jewel, or…well…you have to discover it.

This DLC is really good. The bad thing is that you can take Tallis with you as companion.

I suggest you to buy Mark of the Assassin’s for those reasons:

  • The Story, the misteries.
  • The Puzzles: There are a lot of puzzles in this DLC. If you love things like this, this DLC is amazing!
  • Tallis: well, about Tallis there are different opinions. Some people love her, some people hate her ‘cause she’s voiced by Felicia Day, and for her attitudes. She is an assassin, but the story is totally oriented on her character.
If you don’t love Felicia day, her voice or her way to act, well, i suggest to not buy this DLC.
  • The banter: Very, veeeery funny. Really! I suggest the couple
    Merril/Carver -Anders/Fenris - Isabela/Merril - Bethany/Sebastian - Varric/Anders…or..well…all the banters are amazing in this DLC.

And then, we have THE BLACK EMPORIUM.

The Black Emporium is a Magical, misterious shop.
Add weapons, dress and two particular things that personally I LOVE.

  • The Mirror.
With the mirror you can change your face, your hair..everything!
Really useful if you has made mistakes in the creations of your Hawke.
  • The Dog
You can get for free a Mabari that will fight with you and that will come for you whenever you wish. Really useful.
The Mabari would stay at you home in kirkwall and will unlock a little dialogues with the companions at your estate.

I hope I‘ve given you the advice that you need to buy the dlc that best suits you.
Have fun! :3

  1. theunlikelyheroine ha detto: You should mention the banter for MOTA, since that was the best part.
  2. ilikelookingatnakedmen ha detto: Black Emporium is actually pretty good if you want to RP your Hawke getting older, or if you just want to give LadyHawke a beauty salon.
  3. stormdragon ha detto: Legacy was the best story wise.
  4. tayloriusrex ha detto: I like legacy a little more :) but either legacy or MotA are good picks
